Terms & Conditions

These terms apply when you use this website, our renovation calculator, any of our enquiry forms, or ask us for a site visit, estimate or quotation. By using the website or sending us an enquiry you accept them. Please read them together with our Privacy policy. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

1. Who we are

This website is run by Planex Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16023241, registered office 59 Souldern Street, Watford, England, WD18 0EU, VAT number GB 490 8640 65. You can contact us at [email protected] or on 020 3488 6505.

2. Prices, the calculator and online estimates

2.1 Prices shown on this website — "from" prices, packages, the price list, project figures, the results of our calculator and the PDF estimate it produces — are indicative guide prices for London. Unless stated otherwise they exclude VAT, and they assume typical conditions and a typical specification.

2.2 They are not an offer, a quotation or a promise of price, and accepting or relying on them does not create a contract. The cost of a project can only be confirmed after we have seen the property and agreed the scope, because it depends on things that cannot be judged online: the condition of the building, structure and services, access, drawings and approvals, the specification and the materials chosen.

2.3 Project figures shown on our project pages are approximate starting points for work of that type and are given for illustration only.

2.4 The PDF estimate is prepared for your personal use and may not be presented to anyone as a quotation from us.

3. Site visits and consultations

3.1 Our first consultation and site visit are free and place you under no obligation. We arrange them at a time agreed with you, and we may need to rearrange them, for example because of illness, weather or access. Please let us know as early as you can if you need to change or cancel a visit.

3.2 We may decline to visit, to quote or to take on any project, including work outside the areas or the type of work we cover. We do not have to give a reason.

3.3 Please make sure the person who meets us is entitled to arrange the work, and tell us before the visit about anything that could affect safety, such as known asbestos, structural problems or animals at the property.

4. Quotations and contracts

4.1 Your price is set out in a written, itemised quotation that we prepare after a site visit. A quotation is valid for 5 days from the date on it unless it states a different period, and it is based on the information, drawings and access available when it was prepared.

4.2 A contract for building, design or any other work is formed only when both you and we have signed a written agreement (or you have accepted our written quotation in the way it describes). That agreement sets out the scope, price, programme, payment stages, guarantees and your cancellation rights, and it takes priority over anything on this website or in these terms.

4.3 Anything not included in the agreed quotation — extra work, changes you ask for, or problems that could not reasonably have been seen before work started — is priced and agreed with you in writing before it is carried out.

4.4 Guarantees, aftercare and payment terms described on this website are summaries; the full terms are those in your written agreement.

5. Offers

5.1 Offers shown on this website (for example a 3D interior design included when you sign your build contract within the stated period) apply only to contracts for building work signed within the stated period, and only to the property in that contract. An offer has no cash value, cannot be exchanged or transferred, and cannot be combined with another offer unless we say so.

5.2 We may change or end an offer at any time for future contracts. Any offer you have qualified for under a signed contract will still be honoured.

6. How we contact you

6.1 Each enquiry form asks you to tick a box agreeing that we may contact you about your enquiry by phone, email and WhatsApp. This is needed for us to prepare your estimate or quotation and arrange a visit, so we cannot accept an enquiry without it. We keep a record of what you agreed to and when.

6.2 We use these channels only for your enquiry and project — for example to arrange a call or site visit, send your estimate or quotation, and follow up on it. After an enquiry we also email you about it for a few weeks — next steps, examples of similar projects we have done, typical costs and tips for planning your project — and then occasionally. We do not send advertising by WhatsApp.

6.3 You can change your mind at any time: reply STOP to any WhatsApp message or email, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or write to [email protected]. Your provider's standard charges for calls and data may apply.

6.4 Please give us accurate details. We are not responsible for delays caused by incorrect contact details, or for messages that do not reach you because of a fault outside our control.

7. Our online assistant

Our chat assistant can answer general questions and help arrange a call or visit. Its answers are general guidance, not a quotation or professional advice for your property, and the figures it mentions are indicative in the same way as the prices on this website. A person from our team confirms everything that matters.

8. Using this website

8.1 We work hard to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but it is general information and not professional, structural, legal or planning advice for your particular property. Please take advice before relying on it.

8.2 Photographs show our own completed work unless stated otherwise. Visualisations, illustrations and stock images are for illustration only, and finishes and colours may look different in reality.

8.3 Reviews shown on this website are genuine reviews left by our clients on Google; we show them as written — occasionally shortened, never changed in meaning.

8.4 We do our best to keep the website available and secure, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available or free from errors or viruses. We may change or withdraw any part of it at any time.

8.5 You must not misuse the website — for example by sending false or automated enquiries, attempting to gain unauthorised access, or introducing harmful code.

9. Intellectual property

The text, photographs, designs, drawings, visualisations, logos and layout of this website belong to Planex Ltd or to those who licensed them to us. You may view and print pages for your own personal use. You must not copy, reproduce or use them for any other purpose without our written permission.

10. Links to other websites

Links to other websites and services (such as Google, Instagram, WhatsApp or suppliers) are provided for convenience. We have no control over them and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

11. Our responsibility

11.1 This website and its content are provided free of charge for general information. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or reliance on, the website, guide prices, the calculator, the online assistant or general information on it, or for any business loss, loss of profit or loss of opportunity.

11.2 Our responsibility for any building, design or other work is set out in the written agreement for that work.

11.3 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

11.4 We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.

12. Complaints

If you are unhappy with anything, please contact us at [email protected] and we will do our best to put it right quickly.

13. General

13.1 If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in force.

13.2 If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.

13.3 Only you and we have rights under these terms; no one else may enforce them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

13.4 We may update these terms from time to time; the version on this page when you use the website or send an enquiry applies.

13.5 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
