Pool Gallery to Changing Rooms, Independent School
A disused viewing gallery above a school swimming pool, enclosed and converted into bright, durable changing rooms.
Project scope
- Steel-stud partitions and a curved wall following the line of the gallery
- Moisture-resistant boarding, skim and specialist paint for a pool environment
- New ceilings, LED downlights and fire doors
- Easy-clean flooring, skirting and finishing throughout

Working above a live pool
The pool was protected and access planned around the school timetable, so lessons carried on.

A curved gallery
The new walls follow the original curve of the balcony — framed and boarded on site, not forced straight.

Humidity
Every board, fixing and finish was chosen for a warm, damp pool hall.

Unused space turned into practical changing rooms — clean, bright and built for daily school use.
